Artist: Valentin Carron

Galerie Eva Presenhuber presents The Slope (Works 2006 – 2026), the gallery’s tenth exhibition with the Swiss artist Valentin Carron.

This exhibition opens like a landscape. We can follow Valentin Carron down the slope. The artist constructs an image for us, behind which we find emblematic works from his career. For twenty years, Valentin Carron has taken it upon himself to point out, with a sigh of disillusionment, the persistent fragments of our disenchanted modern dream. Being modern on the slope also means accepting the decline and the effort required to stay on our feet. This exhibition is a window onto our ability to survive the slipping away of our dreams.
