Artist: Jordy Kerwick

Patricia Low Contemporary presents the inaugural exhibition by Jordy Kerwick, ‘Sirens of Venice’.

The self-taught Australian artist, now based in France, began painting in 2016, “more or less on a whim,” as he puts it, and quickly rose to international acclaim, exhibiting in Melbourne, London, New York, Tokyo, and Paris.

Working across enamel, acrylic, oil, house paint, airbrush, graphite, and charcoal, Kerwick draws from art historical still lifes, his family, literature, music, and the vivid energy of Los Angeles to create works that pulse with immediacy and intuition.
