Established in 2016, D’Lan Contemporary exhibits exceptional works of art by leading and emerging Australian First Nations artists at its Melbourne and New York gallery spaces, international art fairs and via collaborations with other Australian and international galleries. Representing Australia’s finest art movements from the Western Desert, Kimberley region and Arnhem Land, D’Lan Contemporary regularly exhibits works by founding artists such as Emily Kam Kngwarray, Rover Thomas, Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri, Paddy Bedford, and John Mawurndjul and modern and contemporary masters including Doreen Reid Nakamarra, Naata Nungurrayi, Makinti Napanangka, Eubena Nampitjin, Carlene West and Daniel Walbidi. With the view that Australian First Nations art can and should stand alongside the greatest art in the world, D’Lan Contemporary aims to engage audiences and celebrate and promote this important art and culture on a global stage.
