part of INDEBT x diez Invites
add to calendarINDEBT and diez present INDEBT x diez Invites in collaboration with Minor Attractions, a collective exhibition featuring a selection of international galleries within INDEBT’s monumental building in Amsterdam.
Taking place during Amsterdam Art Week, the exhibition features des bains (London), KLEMMS (Berlin), Season 4 Episode 6 (London) and Triangolo (Cremona), among others. Rather than presenting a series of isolated gallery exhibitions, the initiative creates a shared context in which different artistic positions, perspectives and networks can meet. At its core, INDEBT x diez Invites is about creating connections between international and local art communities, artistic practices, and the people and spaces that shape them. The exhibition explores what becomes possible when distinct artistic worlds temporarily inhabit a common space.
Central to this encounter is the building itself. Formerly a school and later a mosque, it is currently being transformed into INDEBT’s permanent home. Still undergoing renovation and not yet officially open to the public, the building opens its doors for four days, inviting visitors into spaces that are normally inaccessible. Its unfinished architecture becomes an active part of the exhibition. Spread across different rooms and floors, the presentations respond to the building’s particular conditions, allowing individual artistic practices to retain their identities while contributing to a larger collective experience.
The exhibition culminates on Saturday 21 November with An Evening with INDEBT x diez x Minor Attractions, featuring performances, ambient sound and music throughout the building.
