Reflex

Reflex is an established gallery representing a group of both upcoming and internationally renowned contemporary artists. Organising a minimum of six solo shows and group exhibitions a year, the gallery has a wide international reach and offers tailored guidance to private and corporate art collectors. Over the last three decades, Reflex developed a strong publishing tradition, producing high quality limited editions, prints and publications as part of the exhibitions. For the latter, the gallery collaborated with an eclectic group of authors, curators and artists, including Wim van Sinderen, Wim Pijbes, Marilyn Manson, Matthias Harder, Marcel Feil, Erik Kessels, Hari Kunzru, Michael Wilson, Glenn O’Brien, Sir Norman Rosenthal and Matt Carey-Williams to name a few. Reflex was founded as a family business in 1986. Its name is inspired by the 1948 manifesto of the Cobra group, and can be seen as a gesture of homage. Since 2004, director Alex Daniels has developed a new program. This has steadily shifted the gallery’s focus from modern to international contemporary art.In addition to its exhibition program, the gallery has been responsible for numerous site-specific and public art projects in the Netherlands.
