As the year draws to a close in 2026 and the holiday lights begin to glow, we take stock of what we have gained and lost, and think of those who deserve our thanks and our longing. Bluerider ART Taipei·Dunhua presents Sealed With A Kiss, featuring 30 artists 60 small scale works.

In an age when letters were still sent by hand, people pressed a kiss onto the envelope‘s seal and wrote S.W.A.K. It was the final and most intimate gesture of a letter, sealing in not just paper, but a feeling the writer refused to leave out. This exhibition returns that gesture to art.

Each Bluerider ART team member has selected an Editor's Pick, the honest favorites of those who live with the works every day. One was moved by a single stroke of color; another fell for a sculpture in the shifting light of an afternoon; another simply felt a work looked exactly like a friend. Each reason is offered the way a friend might whisper: I love this one, and I think you will too.

The exhibition brings together thirty artists from Europe, the Americas and Asia, with more than sixty small-scale works. From the quiet order of German and Spanish abstract painting and sculptural experiments in light, paper and fabric, to the bright wit of contemporary figuration and Pop, and the delicate narratives of Asia's new generation, every work is one of a kind. Give it to yourself, because after this year, you deserve to be cared for. Give it to someone dear, and turn I thought of you into a gift you can hold.

Small size works move us not through size, but through closeness. They invite you to step in, lean down, and see the breath of brushwork and material. They can be held in two hands and carried home, placed on a desk, a bedside table, an entryway, becoming a view you meet every day. Small works are gifts of the heart, and the gentlest way for art to enter life. Each may become a first acquisition, leaving a lasting mark.

Cards and envelopes await in the gallery, inviting every collector to write to themselves or to the one receiving the gift: a word of thanks, a blessing, or something long left unsaid. Write it, seal it, press a kiss upon it. Only when the work leaves together with its sealing kiss is the gift complete.
