No Man’s Art Gallery joins this year edition of Amsterdam Art Week with Manos de hierro en guantes de terciopelo, the first solo exhibition in The Netherlands by from Oaxaca-based Alan Hernández (1992, MX) known for his intricate textile and embroidered soft sculptures and installations.
Through textiles, embroidery and crafted materials, Hernández creates hybrid beings that carry traces of intimacy and metamorphosis. The artist invites into a world less guided by certainty and more by instinct, where identities remain fluid and beauty reveals itself slowly.
