This June, to coincide with London Gallery Weekend, Thomas Dane Gallery presents an exhibition of new work by Caragh Thuring (b. 1972, Brussels). This is Thuring’s sixth solo exhibition at the gallery, following The Foothills of Pleasure in 2023. A text by the author and curator Jennifer Higgie will accompany the exhibition.

The exhibition follows Thuring’s appointment as a Royal Academician in 2025. Caragh Thuring lives and works in London and Argyll, Scotland. Selected solo exhibitions include: Anthony Meier, San Francisco CA (2024); The Foothills of Pleasure, Thomas Dane Gallery, London, England (2023); Hastings Contemporary, Hastings, England (2022); Luisa Strina, São Paulo, Brazil (2019); Builder, Corbett vs. Dempsey, Chicago IL (2019); Thomas Dane Gallery, Naples, Italy (2019); Anthony Meier Fine Arts, San Francisco CA (2018); Alex ‘Hurricane’ Higgins, Question Centre, Westminster Waste, London, England (2016); Thomas Dane Gallery, London, England (2016); Simon Preston Gallery, New York NY (2015); Chisenhale Gallery, London, England (2014-15).

Thuring’s works are in the collections of Tate, England; Royal Academy, England; Arts Council Collection, England; Government Art Collection, England; and Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo NY, as well as private UK and international collections.

Alongside her painting practice, Thuring also collaborates with 6a Architects on visual interventions in public buildings.

The opening of Caragh Thuring’s exhibition will coincide with an exhibition of the later works of Prunella Clough, curated by Jenni Lomax, at 11 Duke Street, St James’s.
