Established over 40 years ago, The Showroom gives space and opportunity for visionary artists to research, experiment, and take risks to engage audiences with some of the most pressing issues of our time. A not-for-profit gallery and pioneer of socially-engaged art practices, it is deeply committed to meaningful collaborations between artists and participants from its local community that challenge ideas about what art can be and do. Ambitious youth education and public engagement programmes further advance its hyper-local meets internationally-relevant mission.
