The Armory Show at the Javits Center in New York is the first major fair in the western art world calendar. Under the direction of Kyla McMillan, and in its third year since being acquired by Frieze, this is the fair’s thirty-first edition and sees the debut of “Function”, a new art and design section.

With over two hundred exhibitors across its seven sections, here’s our pick of booths to visit at the fair.

The gallery presentation focusses on interdisciplinary and experimental photo-based work – with new and recent pieces by David Alekhuogie, Omar Barquet, Tania Franco Klein, Ori Gersht, Karen Gunderson, Mary Lum, Marilyn Minter, Zanele Muholi, and Mickalene Thomas, alongside historical works by John Divola and Tseng Kwong Chi.
