Sothebys HK Staff exhibition banner

2020 has been a most challenging year and for some of us the unique circumstances surrounding the pandemic have provided an unforeseen opportunity to invest more time than before in our hobbies. It is exciting to see the talent of our colleagues on display through a range of offerings encompassing media as diverse as painting, sculpture, textile, photography and installation. The exhibition is also rich in subject-matter and technique and one will find works rooted in both western and eastern artistic practice.

A significant portion of the funds raised by this staff exhibition will go to Save the Children Hong Kong (savethechildren.org.hk), a part of the Save the Children movement which operates in 118 countries. The vision of the organization is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation, with an aim to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. We hope to raise as much money as possible for Save the Children Hong Kong, both through the sale of the artworks presented in the show and through your generous donations.

I wish to thank wholeheartedly all those who contributed works to this exhibition as well as those who will support it and those will donate to the charity – any small amount makes a difference. I hope everyone will enjoy the variety of talent to be discovered at Sotheby’s in Asia.
