In 2018 Sotheby’s were delighted to offer The Colourists: Pictures from the Harrison Collection, a unique single owner collection of works once owned by Major Ion R. Harrison an important patron and friend of the Colourists. The sale totalled over £4.5 million and set a new auction record for Francis Campbell Boileau Cadell and reinforced Sotheby’s position as the leading auction house for the work of the Scottish Colourists.
