Sotheby’s remains the clear market leader for Russian Pictures and consistently achieves strong results across all categories. Continuing the successes of 2018 in which a staggering £20.3 million or Russian Pictures were sold at Sotheby’s, the June 2019 sale made £10.5 million, almost doubling the low estimate. Half the lots sold achieved prices more than their high estimate and we had the highest sell-through rate of any of our competitors.
