This May in London, Sotheby's Photographs auction showcases some of the most celebrated names in photography from the 20th and 21st centuries. Coinciding with the international photography fair, Photo London, the auction offers the chance for established and first-time collectors to acquire works by some of the most renowned photographers.
The sale is comprised of images which explore a fresh and diverse variety of themes ranging from Hiroshi Sugimoto’s diverse studies of the medium with a selection of his early to more recent works, to iconic fashion prints by Helmut Newton, Horst P. Horst and Peter Lindbergh, and more Contemporary works such as Cathy, an eye-catching mise-en-scène by the talented Alex Prager.
