The artist has been present on the international art scene for over a decade and has received numerous awards for the quality of his pictorial research. The relationship between Boccanera Gallery and Nebojša Despotović has been a “hand in hand” path, in which the gallery has grown together with the work of the artist, who has espoused its mission since its birth.
The exhibition project is made of works specially created for the occasion, in which the artist demonstrates his well-rounded expressive evolution. The selected paintings are distinguished by a marked and personal look on the author’s psychic world: the absence of a temporal axis and an explicit narrative gives way to poetic interpretations in the construction of the work, through the highest quality and expressiveness achieved by the artist painting.
The immediate hermetic narration that reaches the observer thus becomes a stage populated by fantasies, memories, events and emotions experienced by Nebojša Despotović himself and translated into a language sensitive to the formal transfiguration of the work of art.
The presentation of this last cycle of works, which lasted over a year, is the result of a great pictorial maturity, settled through years of practice, experimentation and research, compared to the production presented until today, and which does not go beyond 2018.
Little puff of wind will therefore be the opportunity to preview the innovative narrative construction created by Despotović, with that kind of liveliness obtained from a palette of complex and bright shades.
