We are pleased to present the final installation of Discoveries sales for 2024; the Modern & Contemporary sales bring together diverse artworks of various media, regions and eras from each of Sotheby’s Fine Art Departments in an exciting sale context. Modern Discoveries focuses on early Impressionism through Abstract Expressionism. Contemporary Discoveries focuses on artwork from the 1960s to today. This sale series is designed with the collector of today in mind: both emerging buyers, who have no reason to limit the scope of their collections, as well as those connoisseurs whose collections already transcend traditional categories.

The Modern Discoveries auction will open for bidding on Friday, September 20th, and lots will close in succession on Tuesday, October 1st. Our highlights exhibition will open at our York Avenue galleries on Saturday, October 21st.
