Modern British & Irish Art
This November, Sotheby’s will present a Modern British & Irish Art sale week offering four dedicated sale contexts – supported by a global marketing campaign – which will celebrate the best of Modern British, Scottish and Irish Art. Our flagship Modern British & Irish Art live auction on 23 November will offer major examples by Britain and Ireland’s leading artists of the 20th century, including the likes of Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Patrick Heron, Samuel Peploe, Francis Cadell, Jack B. Yeats and Paul Henry. The auction will be followed by online sales of Irish Art on 23 November, Scottish Art and Modern British Art on 24 November.
Our Modern British & Irish Art live auction will be a curated sale of standout examples, following on from the exceptional results we achieved in our market-leading British Art: Modern/Contemporary sale in June, as well as in our regular Made in Britain and Modern British art sales. To date in 2021 we have sold £23 million, showing strong demand for Modern British artworks, with in-depth bidding from across the globe by new and established collectors.
We will be closing for consignments in September. If you would like to discuss your artwork, please do not hesitate to contact one of our specialists.
