LondonGhislaine Leung: CONSTITUTION
CONSTITUTION is a new commission by artist and writer Ghislaine Leung. Leung’s work addresses formal and informal value structures and how these impact on individual and shared space.
Working with sound, scale and temperature Leung’s new commission at Chisenhale Gallery addresses the ways in which we seek to assimilate and internalise conditions of high production, efficacy and visibility over maintenance, care and love.
Ghislaine Leung (b. 1980, Stockholm, SWE) lives and works in London, UK. Recent projects include: VIOLETS, Netwerk, Aalst; Acoustic Holographic Language, Bureau des Réalités, Brussels; Five Sculptures, ESSEX STREET, New York City (all 2018); The Moves, Cell Project Space, London (2017); 078746844, WIELS, Brussels (2016); and the event, Soft Open Shut, Studio Voltaire, London (2015). Leung is a member of PUBLIKATIONEN + EDITIONEN and her first collection of writings Partners was published by Cell Project Space in 2018.
CONSTITUTION is commissioned and produced by Chisenhale Gallery, London with additional production support by EMPAC /Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute through their artist in residence programme.
