Attila Csörgő’s exhibition Ursuppe presents a wondrous insight into Csörgő’s artistic practice, in which the laws of physics and geometry converge to give form to whimsical kinetic constructions, photographs, and intricately assembled objects.

Alongside the artist’s most recent production, the exhibition will also showcase a selection of Csörgő’s earlier pieces. As evocative precursors, these point to the artist’s meticulous working process and the trajectories of his research into geometry, mechanics, and vision within abstract and everyday realms.

Attila Csörgő (b. 1965 in Budapest, Hungary) has featured in numerous prominent international exhibitions. In 1999, he represented Hungary at the Venice Biennale and had solo exhibitions at Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2014), Secession, Vienna (2011), Kunsthalle Mainz (together with Roman Signer), Mainz (2012), and Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg (2011). His work was also exhibited at the 57th Venice Biennale (2017), and dOCUMENTA 13 (2012). In 2008, Csörgő was the recipient of the Nam June Paik Award.
