ParisArts d’Afrique, d’Océanie, d’Indonésie et des Amériques
As a global auction house transacting in a breadth of fields, one of the Sotheby’s greatest strengths is our ability to cross-promote African and Oceanic art to collectors in other categories, such as Modern and Contemporary art, and 20th Century design. Sotheby’s pioneered the cross-promotion and has been cultivating this strategy over the last 20 years. Sotheby’s Paris will organize the June sale of the Arts of Africa and Oceania at the same time as the Paris sales of important Design and Contemporary Art. For ten days and presented across the entire building, all the art pieces, paintings and furniture will be presented in a highly curated exhibition.

The pieces selected for the auction have the potential to attract broad competition, and we have extensive experience engaging new potential buyers in all of our African and Oceanic art auctions in Paris, with our team of international experts based in Paris, London and New York, as well as our colleagues in cross-over collecting fields who will personally be on hand to promote these sales.
