Sotheby’s is proud to support the Aspen Art Museum with ArtCrush 2022: Art Auction to Benefit the Aspen Art Museum.

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums in 1979, the Aspen Art Museum is a globally engaged non-collecting contemporary art museum. Following the 2014 opening of the museum’s facility designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Shigeru Ban, the AAM enjoys increased attendance, renewed civic interaction, and international media attention. In July 2017, the AAM was one of ten institutions to receive the United States’ National Medal for Museum and Library Services for its educational outreach to rural communities in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley and its learning partnerships with civic and cultural partners within a 100-mile radius of the museum’s Aspen location.

Please note that while this auction is hosted on, it is being administered by the Aspen Art Museum (AAM), and all post-sale matters (inclusive of invoicing and property pickup/shipment) will be handled by the AAM. As such, Sotheby’s will share the contact details for the winning bidders with the AAM so that they may be in touch directly post-sale.

Please note there will be no buyer’s premium added to the hammer price and the difference between the mid-estimate and the winning bid is a tax-deductible donation to the museum. The winning bidder will receive a tax acknowledgement letter from the museum for this amount.
