ViennaAlfred Hrdlicka: Selected prints from 1968-71, drawings & sculptures
In terms of content, the series Randolectil, Masse und Macht and Rakes Progress by Alfred Hrdlicka combine his examination of the subject of psychiatry and phenomena of psychopathology.
From a technical point of view, the cycle Randolectil represents a turning point in Alfred Hrdlickas work. In addition to etching, he uses the aquatint scraping process. The leaves are perfectly crafted, as in no later cycle and almost free of the well-known sketch and torso character à la Hrdlicka.
