“Avani Tanya catalogues objects in the V&A's South Asian collection by inviting people to share their personal interpretations, responses and connections”

Delfina Foundation is pleased to announce the publication of A Selective Guide to the V&A's South Asian Collection, a book that came out of Avani Tanya's joint residency at the V&A and Delfina Foundation in the summer of 2017.

During her three-month residency Avani was provided with a studio at V&A to research the museum's South Asian collection, which provoked an array of questions. Rather than looking to the museum to answer them she invited other people to share their personal interpretations, responses and connections to objects in the collection, which resulted in this publication.

Contributors: Ben Barker, Lubna Chowdhary, Jatinder Singh Durhailay, George Eksts, Francesca Girelli, Abeera Kamran, Priya Khanchandani, Rose Lejeune, Yusra Makhdoomi, Divia Patel, Sally O'Reilly, Avni Sethi, Himali Singh Soin, Avani Tanya.
